Our career grows here.

At Echo Electric, a brand owned by Sonepar, we are a leader in electrical distribution. Echo Electric represents over $1.2 billion in sales covering Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Nebraska, and Southern South Dakota. As part of Sonepar, the worldwide leader in electrical distribution, we have a global reach that allows us to offer excellent benefits and develop innovative solutions, while maintaining our strong local roots and close-knit culture. We empower our associates to contribute to our success by adopting the adapt, dare, learn mindset-- adapt to new situations and people, dare to appropriately challenge the status quo, and learn from others and our own experiences.

Our 6 legacy brands known as Echo Electric Supply, Holt, PEPCO, Richards, Shaw Supply, and Springfield Electric have become one brand moving forward with a shared culture, strategy, and vision. We are now going to the market under one bold new brand, Echo Electric.

We have a great opportunity for a solution-driven Lighting Project Coordinator to join our growing team! This role supports the quotations team by managing bid activity, coordinating quote requests, maintaining accurate job information, and providing timely status updates. The position also supports smaller projects from bid through delivery by coordinating with customers, factory representatives, manufacturers, the warehouse, and internal teams.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, with flexibility.

We're looking for a coordinator who:
  • Manages the quotations bid board and keeps job status information accurate and current.
  • Creates jobs in the bidding software, enters customer information, and loads extracted electrical plan pages.
  • Requests quotes from factory representatives, follows up as needed, and moves received quotes to the associated job in the bidding software.
  • Monitors the Quotes Inbox and routes non-lighting requests to the appropriate department.
  • Communicates daily with the quotations team and provides a morning update on quote requests, open jobs, bid extensions, delays, and other priorities.
  • Maintains current factory and manufacturer representative contact lists.
  • Communicates with customers regarding fixture counts, bid extensions, delays, project expectations, timelines, and status updates.
  • Initiates return goods authorizations and coordinates with the warehouse and factory to ensure material is returned and customer credit is completed.
  • Supports smaller projects and assists with project coordination as workload allows.
  • Communicates project scope and timelines and supports cross-functional teams, including quotations, sales, and warehouse operations.
  • Works with representatives and manufacturers to maintain deliveries, identify potential roadblocks, and develop solutions that keep projects on track.
  • Manages change orders, maintains complete project files, and communicates project changes to the team.
  • Confirms invoicing, receiving, returns, and credits are complete before project closeout.
What you bring:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • 1+ years of administrative, quotations, customer service, or project coordination experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A teamwork attitude and willingness to learn and jump in wherever needed to keep quotes and projects moving.
  • A growth-oriented approach and commitment to meeting customer needs and contributing to team success.
  • The ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment without losing focus on quality.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems before they escape.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to track progress across multiple jobs and projects.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with customers, factory representatives, manufacturers, and internal teams.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn bidding and project management software.
  • Lighting and/or controls background preferred.
What we offer:
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance plus employer paid short term and long-term disability and life insurance.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • 401K match
  • Profit Sharing
  • Tuition reimbursement and employee development.
  • Annual Safety Shoe Reimbursement
  • Employee Discount on products
  • Access to a variety of trainings for personal development
