Job summary

HRConnects seeks a hands-on Product Engineer to lead product development from concept through launch, collaborating with design, labs, and production to solve thermal and manufacturability challenges. You will work across suppliers and internal teams to ensure quality and timely delivery in a fast, small-team environment.

Location is Vernon, CA with an ASAP start. Competitive hourly pay and opportunities to influence product lines and certifications across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Prior experience in product development, testing, or manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with certification processes such as UL, ETL, Title 24, ENERGY STAR.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new products from early design concepts through successful launch.
• Manage and expand existing product lines, exploring new categories and improvements.
• Enhance current products for better performance, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with suppliers on components and production processes to ensure quality and delivery.
• Partner with the Assembly team to optimize efficiency and support smooth production flow.
• Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories for certifications including UL, ETL, Title 24, ENERGY STAR.
• Conduct in-house testing for thermal performance, dimming compatibility, and overall product quality.
• Provide technical support to internal teams, customers, and installers.
• Oversee quality control on incoming shipments and assist with building maintenance when needed.
