Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Allen Park, MI seeks a Lighting Hardware Engineer to leap forward hardware development for automotive exterior lighting systems, including headlamps, signaling lamps, and rear lighting. You will focus on power electronics, EMI control, and safety requirements in a fast-paced team.

The role requires BE/BS/Btech and hands-on experience with CAN-FD/LIN, DFMEA, and pre-compliance EMC testing to ensure production readiness and reliability.

Qualifications

• End to end hardware development for automotive exterior lighting systems including headlamps, signaling lamps, and rear combination lamps.
• System level power architectures and LED driver strategies (linear vs switching) under EMI, thermal, and cost constraints.
• ASIL QM/A/B functional safety explained and applied.
• CAN-FD/LIN integration.
• Worst case circuit analysis, derating, thermal and reliability analysis (DFMEA, MTBF) for production readiness.
• Driving pre compliance and compliance EMC testing.
• Resolving conducted and radiated emission issues through layout, filtering, and architectural changes.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware for automotive exterior lighting systems in Allen Park, MI.
• Analyze EMI/EMC and drive design changes to meet regulations.
• Perform DFMEA and MTBF calculations for reliability milestones.
• Coordinate with systems for CAN-FD/LIN integration and safety requirements.
