Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, is hiring a Lighting Designer - Business Development Specialist in Chicago, IL or Milwaukee, WI. The role combines advanced lighting design with strategic business development and client acquisition responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will lead lighting proposals, develop client relationships, and help shape the A&E group's strategic and marketing plans. Occasional evenings and travel of ~20–25% are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business development, engineering, architecture, planning or related field from an accredited college or university.
• At least 7 years of relevant lighting design experience and marketing or business development specific to building engineering.
• If no degree, at least 10 years of relevant lighting design experience and marketing or business development specific to building engineering.

Aufgaben

• Develop architecturally sensitive lighting systems for buildings.
• Develop lighting plans and specifications.
• Provide construction phase oversight of the lighting systems.
• Mentor less experienced lighting designers.
• Identify, obtain, and manage new clients/projects.
• Visit current and potential clients to stay informed of their needs and services.
• Lead the pursuit of new private clients, proposal development, and project scoping as needed.
• Attend client meetings and participate in trade shows and conferences.
