Job summary

McCord Group Recruiting Solutions is seeking a Commercial Lighting Controls Manager to lead design, specification, quotation, and execution of commercial lighting control systems. You will serve as the primary controls resource for customers, electrical contractors, distributors, engineers, architects, manufacturers, and the sales team.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience with commercial lighting controls, electrical systems, lighting design, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lighting control products, applications, and installation practices.
• Experience reviewing electrical construction drawings, specifications, and control sequences.
• Familiarity with occupancy sensors, daylight harvesting, dimming systems, relay panels, wireless controls, networked lighting controls, and building automation interfaces.
• Understanding of control protocols and technologies (0–10V, DALI, DMX, BACnet, wireless platforms).
• Experience preparing quotations, bills of material, submittals, and project documentation.
• Strong project-management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design commercial lighting control systems based on drawings, codes, and customer requirements.
• Review plans and specifications to determine system requirements.
• Prepare layouts, bills of material, quotations, and sequences-of-operation documents.
• Provide technical and sales support to contractors, distributors, engineers, architects, end users, and internal sales.
• Coordinate submittals, approvals, deliveries, change orders, startup, and commissioning.
• Travel locally to job sites, meetings, training sessions, and industry events as needed.
