Owen J. Roberts School District is seeking a Lighting & Sound Assistant Advisor for the High School. The role involves sharing duties with the Lighting & Sound Head Advisor and supporting all events in the auditorium that require lighting or sound.

The position requires attendance at training, organization of student volunteers, and maintenance of equipment. It is offered for the 2026-2027 school year under the REA agreement as an annual assignment.

Position Title: Lighting & Sound Assistant Advisor

POSITION GOAL: Provide an organized activity so as to provide participants personal growth opportunity for achievement

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Split the following responsibilities with the Lighting & Sound Head Advisor Attend training on light and sound systems boards. Attend all after school events in the HS auditorium that require lights and/or sound. The calendar of events is maintained in FMX as well as the OJR HS Activities Calendar. Organize and train student volunteers to assist at these events. Work with the Fall Play, Musical, and Spring Showcase staff to support their needs.
• Maintain equipment and facilitate repairs when needed.

Terms Of Employment

• Per REA Agreement for the 2026-2027 school year- 2 units
• Annual assignment appointed by the Board of School Directors as recommended by Administration.
• According to the School District Policy Manual (available online at www.ojrsd.com).
