Job summary

Foss Maritime is seeking a Lightering Engineer to support shoreside and offshore lightering operations. You will maintain gear, operate forklifts and cranes, and assist in logistics to ensure safe, efficient transfers.

You will handle inventory, warehouse upkeep, and equipment readiness while complying with safety and environmental procedures. Offshore work includes exposure to ship-to-ship transfers and emergency readiness.

Qualifications

• Maritime knowledge of seamanship and deck operations.
• Ability to complete training and regulatory certification courses.
• Operate forklifts, trucks, and cranes; qualify for future crane cert.
• Must be physically capable to access vessels, ships, offices, and yards.
• Willing to work overtime, nights, weekends, and varied schedules.

Responsibilities

• Equipment readiness: maintain and inspect lightering gear for safety.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and company trucks to support maintenance and logistics.
• Track inventory and parts for vessels in PAL operations.
• Maintain warehouse/yard organization and cleanliness.
• Assist with stores delivery and vessel support for lightering operations.
• Support offshore lightering operations under Masters guidance.
