Light Truck Driver/Warehouse (Finance)

The Light Truck Driver is responsible for driving a truck within a city or industrial area to transport materials, merchandise, and equipment between various establishments. The position also involves ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transport of merchandise at Naval Station Great Lakes.

Responsibility Level:

This individual drives a straight truck under 1.5 tons, usually with four wheels, between facilities with established pick-up points. The driver is responsible for completing all required paperwork neatly and efficiently.

Principal Duties:

1. Sort and prepare materials for delivery to TCA, NAVSTA, and RTC.
2. Load and offload materials for delivery.
3. Establish and maintain positive working relations with Goodwill staff.
4. Clean the interior and exterior of the vehicle at the end of each shift; perform cursory cleanliness checks throughout the shift.
5. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• One year of successful driving experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and hold a Secret Clearance.
• A Real ID-compliant driver's license is required for access to the naval base and employment; candidates must provide proof of this identification.
• Acceptable driving record as per insurance carrier standards.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Must be a US Citizen, as defined by US Navy security guidelines.
