Shelf Stocker JOD-Sesaonal (Finance)


The Shelf Stocker is responsible for accurately maintaining inventory records of food products at the Great Lake Naval Training Center.

Responsibility Level:

Accurately keep track of inventory records of food products at the Great Lake Naval Training Center.

Principal Duties:
  1. Maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the storerooms.
  2. Rotating stock and following the first in, first out (FIFO) procedure.
  3. Completing the Daily JOD Checklist.
  4. Receiving vendor orders:
  • Inspecting products for quality.
  • Verifying quantity against invoices.
  • Reconciling electronic vendor invoices.
  • Returning all unused items to the assigned storeroom.
  • Assisting with store room inventory for the 10-day inventory cycle.
  • Assisting with cutting of cycle day food orders.
  • Reporting all defective equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Inspecting storerooms for safety, organization, and fire prevention.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid driver's license, necessary insurance, and legal ability to operate a Goodwill vehicle.
    Core Competencies:
    • Operate equipment essential to job performance.
    • Basic mathematical skills.
    Physical/Sensory Demands:
    • Lift up to 50 pounds and carry for up to 3 feet.
    • Full range of motion; ability to stay on feet for extended periods.
    • Independently push or pull a full pallet jack.
    • Work in low-temperature storage areas.

    The pay rate for this position is $24.40 per hour.
