Job summary

Network Rail Consulting is seeking a Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) Maintenance Optimization SME for our Seattle location. You will lead the improvement of LRV maintenance processes at Sound Transit to increase reliability and reduce downtime, guiding a small team of SMEs and Coaches.

You will design SMPs, work instructions and training content, create dashboards to track performance, and partner with Learning + Development to close gaps in technician performance, driving continuous improvement across

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level in a related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience in LRV operation and maintenance to identify gaps and improve reliability (MDBF/MTTR).
  • Design and implement improved work management procedures and SMPs.
  • Lead training/competency programs and workshops for maintenance staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of LRV maintenance optimization on the Sound Transit contract, including a small team of SMEs and Coaches.
  • Identify opportunities to develop improved maintenance processes to reduce downtime and increase reliability.
  • Lead Kaizens and CI initiatives to improve maintenance effectiveness.
  • Partner with Learning + Development to improve training and technician behaviors.
  • Lead workshops/events to ensure high client engagement and positive experiences.
