Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking a 2nd shift team member to operate offline binding and finishing equipment in our Illinois facility. The role requires setting up machinery for production, performing regular maintenance, and ensuring smooth operation throughout the shift.

You will troubleshoot minor issues, document maintenance, and may train new crew members while coordinating with the team to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment that can be set up and operated by following a few steps.
• Ability to perform minor clerical tasks related to equipment operation and maintenance records.
• Capability to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.

Job Description

• 2nd shift (11:00pm to 7:00am)
• Operate offline and auxiliary binding/finishing/packaging equipment
• Set up and adjusts machine and equipment for production runs
• Clean, lubricate and maintain machine to ensure its optimum operation
• May troubleshoot issues and submit requests for maintenance as needed
• May coordinate the assignment of crewmembers and may provide training for new team members

Qualifications

• Requires familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment which can be set up and operated following a few step by step instructions and the skill to operate the equipment
• Requires skill to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to the operation of the equipment (e.g., maintain machine operating and maintenance records, write new identification labels for computer tapes, etc.), and skill to perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment
• Ability to identify if improper machine operation and make basic adjustments

Thesalary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $16.41 - $22.30/ hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs.Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
