Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons in Illinois is seeking a production operator for the 1st shift (6am–2pm) to run binding, finishing, packaging and metering equipment. You will set up machines for each job and perform basic adjustments to ensure smooth production.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard setups and operating characteristics of the equipment.
• Ability to set up and operate the equipment and perform basic adjustments.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs, 4-6 hours of effort.
• Walking/standing 6-7 hours of the shift.
• Bending/stooping 2-3 hours of movement.

Responsibilities

• Operate offline and auxiliary binding/finishing/packaging/metering equipment; set up and adjust machines for production.
• Clean, lubricate and maintain machines; troubleshoot issues and submit maintenance requests as needed.
• Coordinate crew assignments and train new team members.
• Carry out other responsibilities as delegated by management in line with business needs.
