York County Government is seeking a full-time Light Equipment Operator to maintain county streets and parks. You will operate mowers, blowers and other equipment, perform basic repairs, and assist with road and sidewalk projects in a four 10-hour shift schedule.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least one year of light equipment experience, plus a valid driver's license. Competitive benefits and retirement plans are included.

Qualifications

• High School Graduation or GED equivalent.
• One year of operating light equipment or related experience or equivalent education/training.

Responsabilités

• Operates a variety of mowers, blowers, sweepers, trimmers, edger, chainsaws, pole saws, and weed eaters to maintain parks and lawns; inspects and services equipment.
• Assists with sidewalk/road repairs and concrete work; maintain roads and signage.
• Performs routine maintenance on trucks and equipment.
• Stocks vehicles and operates/maintains tools and machinery; responds to service calls and emergencies as needed.
• Flag and direct traffic; prepares work orders and reports.
