Job summary

RRD in Durham, NC is seeking a production operator to run offline binding/finishing equipment and support ongoing production runs. You will set up, adjust, and maintain machines, perform basic cleaning and lubrication, and help troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Operate offline and auxiliary binding/finishing/packaging equipment.
• Maintain machine operation through cleaning and lubrication.
• Troubleshoot issues and submit maintenance requests as needed.
• Coordinate crewmembers and train new team members as required.
• Familiarity with routine operating procedures and basic clerical tasks.
• Maintain operating and maintenance records; write labels for tapes, etc.

• Requires familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment which can be set up and operated following a few step by step instructions and the skill to operate the equipment
• Requires skill to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to the operation of the equipment (e.g., maintain machine operating and maintenance records, write new identification labels for computer tapes, etc.), and skill to perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment
• Ability to identify if improper machine operation and make basic adjustments

The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $16.50 - $18.00 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
