Guardian Fleet Services in Waxahachie, TX is seeking a Light Duty Tow Truck Driver to tow and transport passenger vehicles, perform inspections, and deliver professional customer service on every call. You will operate flatbeds, wheel‑lift trucks, and handle breakdowns in varying conditions.

The role requires sharp driving ability, mechanical aptitude, and the strength to lift up to 75 lbs; regular night, weekend, and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license (Class E or equivalent); CDL not required
• Local residency
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to pass drug screening and background checks

Responsabilités

• Operate light‑duty tow trucks (flatbed/rollback and wheel‑lift) to tow or transport passenger vehicles
• Load, secure, and transport vehicles in accordance with safety standards
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly
• Communicate with dispatch regarding job status, delays, hazards, and customer needs
• Provide professional customer service and ensure customer safety
• Complete required paperwork and service documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and equipment
• Respond to calls during nights, weekends, and holidays as required

As the face of the company on the roadside, the driver delivers professionalism, safety, and exceptional customer service, turning stressful situations into smooth, reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate light‑duty tow trucks (flatbed/rollback and wheel‑lift) to tow or transport passenger vehicles
• Load, secure, and transport vehicles in accordance with company and DOT safety standards
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly
• Communicate with dispatch regarding job status, delays, hazards, and customer needs
• Provide professional customer service, including explaining procedures and ensuring customer safety
• Complete required paperwork, digital logs, and service documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and equipment
• Respond to calls during nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet company insurance and driving eligibility requirements
• Valid driver’s license (Class E or equivalent); CDL not required
• Preferred experience examples: commercial motor vehicles over 10K GVW, package delivery style, Oil or Fuel delivery
• Local Residency
• Mechanical aptitude, Haz Mat or air brake endorsements and CMV experience listed as preferred
• Ability to operate tow equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks

Physical Requirements

• Lift, pull, and carry 50–75 lbs. regularly (dollies, tie‑downs, toolboxes, vehicle parts)
• Operate winches, levers, and manual controls requiring upper‑body strength

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Push or maneuver disabled vehicles in tight spaces when necessary

Ability to safely perform duties in active roadside and recovery environments

• Perform repeated bending, kneeling, climbing, and crouching during loading and service tasks
