Guardian Fleet Services is seeking a Light-Duty Tow Truck Driver in Louisville, KY. You will tow passenger vehicles with flatbeds and wheel-lift trucks, perform pre-trip inspections, and deliver professional customer service in stressful roadside moments.

As the face of our company, you’ll handle safety, compliance, and reliable transport, with a sign-on bonus of $1,500 in-state and $2,500 out-of-state. The role requires 21+ years old and a valid driver's license (CDL not required).

Qualifikationen

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license (Class E or equivalent); CDL not required.
• Local Residency.
• Mechanical aptitude, Haz Mat or air brake endorsements and CMV experience listed as preferred.
• Ability to operate tow equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.

Position Summary

The Light‑Duty Tow Truck Driver is the frontline hero customers count on when everything goes wrong. This role demands sharp driving ability, mechanical know‑how, and the physical strength to tackle hands‑on tasks in any weather—rain, heat, cold, or chaos. As the face of the company on the roadside, the driver delivers professionalism, safety, and exceptional customer service, turning stressful situations into smooth, reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate light‑duty tow trucks (flatbed/rollback and wheel‑lift) to tow or transport passenger vehicles.
• Load, secure, and transport vehicles in accordance with company and DOT safety standards.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience examples: commercial motor vehicles over 10K GVW, package delivery style, Oil or Fuel delivery
• Local Residency
• Mechanical aptitude, Haz Mat or air brake endorsements and CMV experience listed as preferred.
• Ability to operate tow equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, pull, and carry 50–75 lbs. regularly (dollies, tie‑downs, toolboxes, vehicle parts).
• Operate winches, levers, and manual controls requiring upper‑body strength.
• Push or maneuver disabled vehicles in tight spaces when necessary.
• Perform repeated bending, kneeling, climbing, and crouching during loading and service tasks.
