This range is provided by Guardian Fleet Services. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Light Duty Tow Driver $1,500 Sign on Bonus in State and $2,500 Sign on Bonus Out of State.

Guardian Fleet Services is looking for a new team member to join our growing family. The Light Duty Tow Truck Driver will be driving a commercial towing and recovery vehicle with a GVWR rating of less than 25,999 lbs. and must possess a valid driver’s license relevant to the vehicle being operated and towed.

Essential Duties

• Reliable, strong customer service and professional demeanor
• Ability to drive and perform duties via interstate for towing, recovery, and/or transport
• Ability to communicate and work closely with Dispatch
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues
• Follow all safety requirements and DOT rules and regulations
• Report all mechanical issues with trucks and trailers upon discovery
• Work with software and computer programs such as Samsara, GPS, and Tow book (a plus)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant trade school accreditation in Towing, recovery, or transport
• At least two years of relevant commercial driving experience
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools

Physical Requirements

This job requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, bending, reaching, climbing, and exposure to moving mechanical parts and outdoor environments with extreme temperatures. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs without restrictions.
