Job summary

Guardian Fleet Services is seeking a Light‑Duty Tow Truck Driver for night shifts in Davie, FL. The role involves operating light‑duty tow trucks, handling breakdowns, and delivering professional customer service.

The position offers a competitive annual pay range of $70k–$75k, a $1,500 sign‑on bonus in state and $2,500 sign on bonus out of state, and a comprehensive benefits package. Employees are central to the company’s safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license (Class E or equivalent); CDL not required.
• Local Residency.
• Haz Mat or air brake endorsements and CMV experience preferred.
• Ability to operate tow equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate light‑duty tow trucks (flatbed/rollback and wheel‑lift) to tow or transport passenger vehicles.
• Load, secure, and transport vehicles in accordance with company and DOT safety standards.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding job status, delays, hazards, and customer needs.
• Provide professional customer service, including explaining procedures and ensuring customer safety.
• Complete required paperwork, digital logs, and service documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and equipment.
• Respond to calls during nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate light‑duty tow trucks (flatbed/rollback and wheel‑lift) to tow or transport passenger vehicles.
• Load, secure, and transport vehicles in accordance with company and DOT safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age

• Preferred experience examples: commercial motor vehicles over 10K GVW, package delivery style, Oil or Fuel delivery
• Local Residency
• Mechanical aptitude, Haz Mat or air brake endorsements and CMV experience listed as preferred.
• Ability to operate tow equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift, pull, and carry 50–75 lbs. regularly (dollies, tie‑downs, toolboxes, vehicle parts).
• Operate winches, levers, and manual controls requiring upper‑body strength.
• Push or maneuver disabled vehicles in tight spaces when necessary.
• Perform repeated bending, kneeling, climbing, and crouching during loading and service tasks.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Ability to safely perform duties in active roadside and recovery environments
