Job summary

aprrllcbanewenglandtruckcenter is seeking a Light-Duty Tow Driver to operate a Commercial Towing and Recovery Vehicle under 26,000 lbs GVWR. On-Call availability is required, and you will work with Dispatch to handle towing and roadside tasks safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include inspections, route planning, logs, and paperwork, plus maintaining vehicles and assets. Compensation ranges from $22/HR to $25/HR with a commission plan, earnings potential up to $85K-$90K per year.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and medical card.
• Minimum two years towing and recovery experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide light-duty towing and roadside assistance safely.
• Complete scheduled towing/transport deliveries and pickups.
• Read and navigate by map or GPS and follow delivery instructions.
• Maintain driver logs and submit weekly.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections.
• Inspect and maintain company assets and vehicles.
• Complete dispatch and admin paperwork promptly.
• Follow safety rules and accident procedures.

Light-Duty Tow Driver

The Light-Duty Tow Driver will be driving a Commercial Towing and Recovery Vehicle with a GVWR rating of less than 26,000 lbs. Light-Duty Tow Drivers are required to work diligently with all Dispatch team members. On-Call availability is required. Additional duties will be required as necessary. Managers oversee Light-Duty Tow Drivers, which includes but is not limited to Scheduling, Interpersonal issues, and training.

Our compensation is based on experience and ranges from $22/HR to $25/HR and a commission plan, with earnings potential up to $85K-$90K per year.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide light duty towing and roadside assistance in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
• Complete all light-duty towing/transport deliveries/pickups as scheduled.
• Swiftly, calmly, and professionally rectify customer issues that may arise.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections.
• Maintain accurate and up to date driver logs, trip sheets, and submit weekly.
• Able to read and navigate by map and/or GPS, plot routes, and follow oral and written delivery instructions.
• Communicate and work diligently with all Dispatch personnel.
• Observe rules and regulations, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
• Follow accident procedures as needed.
• Inspect, protect, and maintain company assets, merchandise, and vehicles.
• Ensure appropriate delivery documentation is generated, filled out, and submitted via Tow Book.
• Process and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials as needed.
• Ensure assigned company truck is kept clean and presentable.
• Regularly wash truck during downtime.
• Complete proper paperwork related to dispatch and admin in a timely manner.
• Perform additional tasks as needed/assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
