Guardian Fleet Services is hiring a Light Duty Tow Driver in Pompano Beach, FL. The role requires operating light‑duty tow trucks, securing vehicles, and maintaining safety and professional customer service on every call.

Sign‑on bonuses of $1,500 in state and $2,500 out of state accompany an annual compensation range of $70k–$75k. The position is day shift, full‑time, with potential long hours and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license (Class E or equivalent); CDL not required.
• Local residency in the area.

Responsibilities

• Operate light‑duty tow trucks (flatbed/rollback and wheel‑lift) to tow or transport passenger vehicles.
• Load, secure, and transport vehicles in accordance with company and DOT safety standards.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding job status, delays, hazards, and customer needs.
• Provide professional customer service, including explaining procedures and ensuring customer safety.
• Complete required paperwork, digital logs, and service documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and equipment.
• Respond to calls during nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

The Light‑Duty Tow Truck Driver is the frontline hero customers count on when everything goes wrong. This role demands sharp driving ability, mechanical know‑how, and the physical strength to tackle hands‑on tasks in any weather—rain, heat, cold, or chaos. As the face of the company on the roadside, the driver delivers professionalism, safety, and exceptional customer service, turning stressful situations into smooth, reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate light‑duty tow trucks (flatbed/rollback and wheel‑lift) to tow or transport passenger vehicles.
• Load, secure, and transport vehicles in accordance with company and DOT safety standards.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license (Class E or equivalent); CDL not required.
• Preferred experience examples: commercial motor vehicles over 10K GVW, package delivery style, Oil or Fuel delivery
• Local Residency
• Mechanical aptitude, Haz Mat or air brake endorsements and CMV experience listed as preferred.
• Ability to operate tow equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift, pull, and carry 50–75 lbs. regularly (dollies, tie‑downs, toolboxes, vehicle parts).
• Operate winches, levers, and manual controls requiring upper‑body strength.
• Push or maneuver disabled vehicles in tight spaces when necessary.
• Perform repeated bending, kneeling, climbing, and crouching during loading and service tasks.
