Job summary

Guardian Fleet Services in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Light‑Duty Tow Truck Driver to join our frontline team. You will operate tow equipment, secure and transport vehicles, perform safety inspections, and deliver outstanding customer service in all weather conditions.

The role requires 21+ years old with a valid Class E license (CDL not required) and reliable residency. Weekend and night shifts are common, with a strong focus on safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license (Class E or equivalent); CDL not required.
• Local residency.
• Haz Mat or air brake endorsements and CMV experience listed as preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate light‑duty tow trucks (flatbed/rollback and wheel‑lift) to tow or transport passenger vehicles.
• Load, secure, and transport vehicles in accordance with company and DOT safety standards.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding job status, delays, hazards, and customer needs.
• Provide professional customer service, including explaining procedures and ensuring customer safety.
• Complete required paperwork, digital logs, and service documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and equipment.
• Respond to calls during nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Ability to operate tow equipment safely and efficiently.


• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.


• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, pull, and carry 50–75 lbs. regularly (dollies, tie‑downs, toolboxes, vehicle parts).


• Operate winches, levers, and manual controls requiring upper‑body strength.


• Push or maneuver disabled vehicles in tight spaces when necessary.


• Perform repeated bending, kneeling, climbing, and crouching during loading and service tasks.
