Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Swiftwater, PA is seeking a Senior Lab Operations Manager to plan and oversee day-to-day laboratory activities across one or more projects. You will ensure resources, equipment, and facilities meet objectives and support a compliant testing environment (GxP).

You will manage timelines with immunology leads, guide staff, and drive test scheduling, data review, and collaboration with internal and external partners to deliver analytical deliverables.

Qualifications

• PhD +4 years OR MS +6 years OR BS +9 years in relevant industry experience.
• Ligand binding assay experience: ELISA, RIA, Luminex, MSD, Ortho VITROS, and automated platforms.
• Demonstrated team leadership/management; strong organization/prioritization and project management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee day-to-day operations of one or more laboratories/projects.
• Ensure laboratory resources (reagents/materials/equipment/facilities) meet objectives.
• Support a quality and compliant testing environment (GxP, training/documentation, methods, personnel).
• Manage project timelines with immunology leads; plan long-term resources and test scheduling.
• Maintain process/procedure alignment; share best practices.
• Oversee laboratory staff activities; provide technical guidance on safety and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor operations for compliance.
• Develop staff; ensure onboarding/training and adequate staffing levels.
• Support test method life cycle management (documentation, suitability/trending, maintenance).
• Support completion of analytical deliverables; assist with evaluation of new technologies/improvements.
• Review/evaluate data and recommend actions; collaborate with internal/external partners.
• Prepare key documents and ensure adherence to quality/safety/regulatory requirements.
• Track/manage budgets and advise on deviations.
