Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is hiring a Lift Truck Operator I for the Glasgow, VA facility on 2nd shift. You will operate forklifts and other lifting devices to move pallets and materials, perform routine equipment checks, and record production data as required by the RF system and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Operates a power industrial truck to move pallets, skids, and boxes between areas.
• Loads, unloads, stacks materials and secures them for transport.
• Performs daily equipment checks, cleaning, fueling, and reports issues.
• Records weights, quality and output data as directed by paperwork and RF unit.
• Adheres to standard operating procedures and participates in required trainings.

• Operates a power industrial truck as needed
• Must be able to perform the following duties:
  • Operates powered trucks to transport materials between different areas of the facility.
  • Operates lifting devices, such as forklifts, hoists, etc. to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Moves pallets, skids, and boxes; secures material or products for transport to designated areas.
  • Performs routine maintenance on equipment:
    • Cleaning
    • Fueling
    • Completes daily equipment check
  • Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, etc.
  • Weighs materials or products and records weight and other production data as required.
  • Operate and follow instructions as directed by an onboard RF unit.
  • Records quality and output measures and completes any other necessary paperwork.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating procedures
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management
