Job summary

KPRS Construction seeks a skilled forklift operator to unload trucks, move loads, and keep yard operations safe and organized. You will complete delivery paperwork, label loads by supplier, and maintain the yard as needed.

Alongside operating equipment, you will follow SH&E procedures, report incidents promptly, wear required PPE, and participate in housekeeping and maintenance activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified as a powered industrial equipment operator.
• Trained as authorized personnel for lockout/tagout.
• Trained to handle hazardous waste.

Responsibilities

• Operate lift trucks for unloading, stacking, and yard movement while following SH&E rules.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and mark truckloads by supplier.
• Perform yard and building maintenance and housekeeping as required.
• Report all incidents and unsafe conditions promptly; wear PPE per PPE hazard assessments.

Job description

Primary DutiesComplies with all plant administrative rules.Complies with all applicable operating procedures.Obeys the plant safety rules.Operates lift truck in the unloading of trucks.Supplies hydraulic loader with cross ties.Completes correct paper work for delivery truck processing.Correctly marks each truckload as to supplier.Moves and stacks processed ties to tie yard.Collects and disposes of yard waste material.Performs ground and building maintenance, when required.Performs other lift truck duties as assigned.Performs all required SH&E responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesComplies with all SH&E regulations and corporate and plant SH&E policies and procedures.Promptly and properly reports all incidents, injuries, damages, spills and/or releases.Promptly reports and, if possible, corrects all unsafe acts and/or conditions.Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) required by the applicable PPE hazard assessments (including restricted use pesticide PPE requirements).Completes all SH&E inspections assigned by management.Performs required housekeeping activities.Watches for drippage from treated ties in the yard and reports to any to Yard Supervisor.Promptly reports and cleans up hydraulic leaks.Requirements & QualificationsPass preemployment medical screening.Certified as a powered industrial equipment operator.Trained as authorized personnel and/or affected personnel for lockout/tagout.Demonstrates acceptable retention level for the required training elements. · Trained to handle hazardous waste.Koppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
