Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Florida is seeking a Lift Truck Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on powered industrial equipment, including forklifts. You will read blueprints and manuals, perform preventive maintenance, and document work in CMMS; the role requires lifting 65 pounds and willingness to work nights or weekends.

Qualifications

They use hand tools as well as computerized testing equipment in order to locate and repair problems. The Technicians read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. To perform preventive maintenance, they routinely check items such as hydraulic fluid levels, tire pressure, the condition of the forks, drive control, steering and the brakes. Furthermore, they use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate and process the maintenance repairs performed.One of the following positions is available: Lift Truck Technician Class A, B, or C.The position offered is contingent upon the qualifications and work experience of the candidate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Industrial Maintenance associate


• Have a valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle on or before his or her start date in the position


• Have mechanical and diagnostic knowledge of powered industrial equipment, as well as, knowledge of circuits and operational sequence of components


• Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and technical manualsexperience maintaining powered industrial trucks (electric powered forklifts)


• Working knowledge of hydraulic systems


• Working knowledge of D.C. voltage circuits and operational sequence of components

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
