Job summary

Jay Peak is seeking a seasonal Lift Operator to manage daily loading/unloading terminals and assist guests on chair lifts. You will verify tickets, maintain safety and housekeeping around lift areas, and support lift operations in varying weather conditions.

The role requires reading safety rules, basic math, and the ability to follow instructions while maintaining a friendly guest-focused attitude. This seasonal position offers various on-property perks and a dynamic mountain environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals; write routine reports.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent; basic math skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and solve problems with basic reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily operation of loading and unloading terminals.
• Load guests safely onto chair lifts and check tickets.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and order around lifts and related areas.
• Report any unusual weather conditions or equipment issues to supervisor.
• Assist in lift inspections and ensure guest safety and compliance.
