Job summary

Sunday River Resort is seeking Lift Operators for the 2026/27 season. The role involves operating ski lifts, assisting guests, and performing pre-operational checks, with training provided. Flexible part-time and full-time schedules are available, and there are opportunities to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

No prior experience is required, though resort knowledge is helpful. Candidates must be 18+ and able to work outside in all weather conditions.

• Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Participate in 3 day Lift Operation training, follow up training, and team meetings
• Complete pre-operational lift checks with the assistance and guidance of the Lift Maintenance department
• Shovel snow, pick ice, and groom ski surfaces around lifts
• Set up and remove signs, corrals, and other equipment to assist the guests with staging, loading and unloading
• Meet and greet guests
• Operate lifts in accordance with safety protocols and procedures
• Safely load and unload guests
• Observe all guests getting on and off lifts and respond to any unsafe situations
• Assist with crowd control and lift ticket checking
• Assume the role of Sunday River Ambassador who is ready and eager to converse with guests
• Communicate effectively with other departments on safety issues, mechanical problems and general inquires
