Scope:

The position is responsible for operating propane-powered industrial trucks with lifting devices to move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties:

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving trucks and controlling lifting apparatus.
• Maintaining a safe work environment and mounting/dismounting forklifts safely.
• Positioning forks and lifting devices to transport loads.
• Unloading and stacking materials.
• Removing bands and shrink wrap from pallets.
• Conveying materials to designated areas.
• Ensuring work areas are clean and free of scrap.
• Labeling and marking materials.
• Loading trucks for drivers.
• Reading order sheets and retrieving products.
• Stacking boxes on pallets, lifting or sliding them as needed.
• Loading and unloading materials manually.
• Writing clearly for others to read.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Labor Category – Hourly
• 1st Shift: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday
• 2nd Shift: 2:30 pm to 3:00 am, 3 days on, 3 days off rotation

Travel:

• None

Work Environment:

• Distribution environment with forklift operation, temperature control, indoor work setting.

Physical Demands:

• Regular use of hands and fingers, reaching, standing, talking, hearing.
• Constant heavy lifting.

Required Education and Experience:

• Ability to understand and communicate in English.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One to three months of experience or training.
