The Lift Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of all chair lifts and rope tows at the resort. This role plays a critical part in guest safety and satisfaction by ensuring all lift equipment is operating safely and efficiently. The Lift Mechanic maintains accurate records, supervises lift operations as needed, and contributes to a positive, clean, and safe work environment. Ideal candidates possess strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform in a high‑altitude, outdoor environment under varying weather conditions.
High school diploma, G.E.D., or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Mechanical aptitude is required. Must be 18 years of age or older.
This position requires regular use of vision and hearing to safely operate equipment and assess mechanical issues. The Lift Mechanic is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and use hands for grasping, feeling, and performing fine motor tasks. The role also involves frequent lifting, pulling, and pushing of equipment or materials, often in challenging outdoor conditions. Physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to react quickly and safely in potentially hazardous environments are essential. Tasks are often performed at heights and in confined or elevated spaces, requiring focus and coordination.
