Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) seeks a hands-on Heavy Equipment Operator at our Chesapeake, VA facility. You will move tanks and containers using a Large Heavy Duty Lift, driving forklifts and the yard mule, and assist with loading/unloading materials to support terminal operations.

This role runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and optional HSAs or FSAs. Safety is a must as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must know how to operate an empty lift and a loaded lift, and the yard mule.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Move large tanks and containers within the facility.
• Operate large heavy forklift trucks (empty and loaded) and yard mule.
• Assist with loading/unloading materials and other tasks to support terminal operations.
• Maintain safety and compliance during all movements.

Role Overview:

Moving tanks and containers within the facility by driving a Large Heavy Duty Lift at our Chesapeake, VA Facility!

Shift/Hours: Monday- Friday 8a-5p

Pay Range: $20-$22/hr

Position Responsibilities:

• Moving large mobile tanks and/or containers within the facility
• Operating and driving the large heavy forklift trucks (empty and loaded) and yard mule.
• Job duties will also include loading and unloading of other materials and assisting with other miscellaneous items as needed to contribute to the overall team effort of the terminal.
• Safety is a must.

Qualifications:

• Must know how to drive an empty lift, loaded lift and the yard mule.
• Must have a minimum of one to 2 years of experience in operating heavy equipment, a yard mule.
• Experience in an industrial environment.
