Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in Portland, OR seeks a part-time Lifestyle Show Production Assistant for Everyday Northwest. You will support daily production, develop daily segments, and shoot/edit content in studio and in the field. Writing, shooting, and editing are key elements of this role.

The position involves assisting with show production, coordinating content calendars, and contributing to on-air and online lifestyle content. Weekend work and some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA from an accredited four-year university or related work experience.
• Must be proficient MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strongly preferred experience with AP ENPS and Ross Xpression.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Detail oriented and self-managing.
• Driven personality forwarding goal setting.
• Skilled in small tech mobile shooting and editing.
• Proficiency with smartphones for editing and posting content.
• Fluency on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
• Videography and photography proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily production of lifestyle and news programs and specials.
• Research and pitch segment ideas.
• Manage the show calendar.
• Assist in control booth.
• Fill in for Lifestyle Producer to oversee program development and on air as needed.
• Identify content opportunities amongst lifestyle brands and digital platforms.
• Assist with on-site promotions and event management.
• Attend shoots/live productions to assist with video production.
• Create content for lifestyle websites/social platforms/TV.
• Train lifestyle interns.
• Coordinate with sales team and creative services.
