Job summary

CAMS in Durham, NC seeks an exceptional Lifestyle Director to lead life-enrichment activities and events for an active adult community. The role is full-time and requires strong planning, self-motivation, and ability to work with homeowners, board, and staff.

Responsibilities include creating events, managing budgets, building partnerships, coordinating facilities, maintaining the community website, and producing communications. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Lifestyle Director or related event industry experience.
• Experience creating flyers, newsletters, or marketing material.
• Available to work some nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to focus and be productive under stressful situations.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Be able to stand for an extended amount of time.
• Lift or move up to 25lbs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team leader qualities.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Developing promoting and executing a full range of events, activities, classes, sports, healthy living programs and fitness opportunities.
• Implementing a comprehensive communications plan.
• Building partnerships and sponsorships with local businesses and organizations.
• Recruiting and organizing volunteers.
• Overseeing and scheduling facilities.
• Maintaining a community website.
• Developing a community newsletter.
• Managing program budgets.
• Being a resource for homeowners.
• Overseeing Resident Club Operations.
