Join to apply for the Lifestyle Co-host/Reporter role at WPHL-TV.

WPHL-TV/CW is hiring an energetic & dynamic on-air Co-Host/Reporter for a daily hour-long lifestyle show launching in Philadelphia this fall.

The show will highlight local businesses and events happening throughout the Delaware Valley to help promote our brand – We Are Philadelphia.

Responsibilities include:

1. Delivering live lifestyle and entertainment content for TV and Digital every weekday
2. Conducting compelling interviews and engaging demonstrations with guests and clients, both in studio and on location
3. Assisting in writing, researching, and coordinating content
4. Actively participating in daily content meetings
5. Maintaining knowledge of current events, pop culture, and community connections
6. Contributing ideas in content discussions and pitch meetings
7. Researching show topics and developing questions for guests in coordination with the Executive Producer/Co-host and producer
8. Working closely with the team to produce engaging content
9. Writing stories and posts for the show’s website and social media pages
10. Participating in community events to promote the show and station
11. Assisting sales department with presentations and client meetings as needed
12. Performing other duties as assigned by the Creative Services Director

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum one year on-air hosting or reporting experience in a live environment
• Motivated self-starter, able to work independently and in a team
• Strong storytelling skills for on-air and online content
• Story shooting and editing skills are a plus
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Premiere
• Knowledge of ENPS
• Wordpress knowledge is a plus
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Word
• Demo reel of previous hosting/reporting experience required
