Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Lifestyle Carer to design and deliver engaging programs that promote social interaction, emotional wellbeing, and a sense of purpose for residents. This role emphasizes compassion, creativity and collaboration within a care team.

You will work to understand residents’ stories and goals, support independence, and communicate activity calendars while following aged care requirements. A welcoming team环境 and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Requires Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or higher.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check is required.
• Current First Aid Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and individual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
• Support residents to maintain independence and dignity through meaningful engagement
• Learn residents’ life stories, interests and goals to inform personalised activities.
• Work with residents, families and care teams to support holistic care plans.
• Communicate activity calendars and evaluate programs to improve resident outcomes.
• Follow safety, quality and aged care requirements.

What’s required To Work As a Lifestyle Carer

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, or Bachelors or Diploma in Health Science or Community Services
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current First Aid Certificate

What’s preferred But Not Essential

• Experience in aged care or a similar care setting.
• Knowledge of aged care quality and accreditation requirements.
• Experience planning or facilitating lifestyle activities.
