Job summary

Dial in Omaha, NE is seeking a Lifestyle Assistant to work full-time, days, Tue through Sat, supporting a vibrant senior living community. You will help plan and lead activities across physical, social, and educational categories to create engaging resident experiences.

You will document engagement in LifeLoop, coordinate outings, decorate for events, assist residents with mobility, and collaborate with other departments to enhance daily life. Valid driver’s license preferred; 18+.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use MS Office.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility and stand for extended periods.
• Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, implementing, and leading activities in physical, social, recreational, intellectual/educational, creative, entertainment, religious, service, and special requests of residents.
• Lead group activities while encouraging resident participation and building positive relationships.
• Document resident engagement daily in LifeLoop to observe engagement trends.
• Coordinate community outings, events, and celebrations, acting as a chaperone as needed.
• Get acquainted with residents and their activity preferences to promote suitable activities.
• Decorate the facility for events, seasons, and holidays.
• Invite residents to participate and assist them to activities.
• Support social media content creation and posting for the community.
• Drive the company vehicle for resident activities and appointments as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident experiences.
• Identify and requisition needed supplies for planned activities.

Position Overview
This position works with the lifestyle team to create unique resident experiences that promote a vibrant, inclusive, and engaging community.

• Assist with planning, implementing, and leading activities in the following categories: physical, social, recreational, intellectual/educational, creative, entertainment, religious, service/volunteering, and special requests of the residents.
• Lead group activities while encouraging resident participation and building positive relationships.
• Document resident engagement each day in LifeLoop, tracking the data to observe engagement trends.
• Help coordinate community outings, events, and special celebrations, while assisting as a chaperone.
• Become acquainted with each resident and their activity preferences and promote activities in a way that piques residents’ interests.
• Assist with decoration of the facility for special events, seasons, and holidays.
• Invite and/or remind residents to participate in planned activities, assisting them to and from activities.
• Support social media content creation and posting for the community.
• Drive the company vehicle for resident activities and appointments, as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident experiences.
• Identify and requisition needed supplies for planned activities.
• Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to resident, community operations and personnel.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Basic computer skills and use of Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to assist residents with mobility and stand for extended periods
• Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
• Demonstrated organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in activities, recreation, or senior living
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Experience working with memory care or seniors with dementia
