Position Summary

The Massage Therapist provides various massage therapy services and treatments that complement fitness programs, improve overall well-being, and enhance the guests' fitness experience while embodying the mission, vision, and core values of LifeSpa and Salon. They build relationships with other departments, educate guests on massage therapy benefits, design sessions tailored to guests' needs, and suggest recurring massage schedules. They collaborate with the entire LifeSpa and Salon team to deliver a superior professional experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and serve members in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide personalized massage therapy services meeting clients' needs and expectations
• Develop and maintain personalized relationships with clients
• Educate clients on LifeSpa and Salon products, services, and treatments
• Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the spa area
• Serve as an expert in muscle and body analysis, recommending maintenance regimens
• Promote and sell massage services, encouraging repeat business
• Stay current on certifications and industry trends

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Massage Therapy License
• Ability to perform all types of massage services and treatments
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions
• Basic PC operating knowledge
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, lift, and move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Requirements

• 2 years of professional massage experience
• Knowledge of body treatments
• Experience with Salon Biz

Pay

This position offers commissions between 35% and 70%, depending on product and productivity. The minimum weekly pay is the applicable minimum wage per hour.
