Job summary

The Corvallis School District 509J seeks an instructional assistant to support licensed staff in implementing IEPs and delivering targeted instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities. This role involves small-group and one-on-one work, data collection, and collaboration with teachers to meet IEP goals.

Applicants should have an associate degree or higher, or equivalent college credits, plus experience with special needs students is desirable.

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher; 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits, or passing score on district assessment.
Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff.
Experience with special needs students is desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing IEPs and developmental, academic, and life skills instructional programs.
Provide instruction in small groups or one-to-one settings under licensed staff supervision.
Support behavior management and model appropriate interpersonal actions.
Record developmental data and communicate feedback to licensed staff.
Supervise students in various settings and assist with safety and welfare.
