Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Liferay Developer for a 12-month remote contract role in Minneapolis, MN.

Summary:

The Liferay Application Developer will create and update client Portal web applications using Java and JavaScript. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Liferay portlet applications, collaborating with end users on migration schedules, feature identification, and bug fixes. Java development services are essential for ongoing feature development and content management in the client Liferay portal.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in Liferay Portal development, administration, deployment, and upgrade, with high-volume and high-reliability requirements.
• Strong knowledge of web application architecture, including web servers, application servers, databases, and infrastructure.
• Experience in creating and managing Liferay themes.
• Design and development experience with Liferay out-of-the-box portlets, MVC portlets, Spring MVC portlets, and Struts portlets.
• Proficiency in UI technologies such as CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, Bootstrap, and Alloy UI.
• Experience with Amazon Cloud Services.
• Experience with Liferay versions 7.3 and 7.4.

Full-Stack Developer Skills:

• Front-end: JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, Node.js, React.js, jQuery, LESS.
• Server-side: Java, Spring Boot.
• Databases: DynamoDB, MySQL; caching: Redis, Memcached.
• UI/UX design and prototyping skills.
• Server knowledge: Nginx, Apache, Linux.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to visualize and build systems.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2 and Lambda is a plus.

Compensation: $65.00 to $75.00 per hour (W2).
