Job description

Genesis10 is currently looking for a Liferay Developer for a 12-month contract role for our client in Minneapolis, MN. This role is 100% remote.

Summary:

The Liferay Application Developer shall create new and update existing client portal web applications written in Java and JavaScript. The contractor will develop and maintain Liferay portlet applications, work with end users to set migration schedules, identify features, and provide bug fixes. Java developer services are required for the ongoing development of features and content in the client Liferay web portal.

Qualifications:

• Liferay
• Amazon Web Services
• CloudFormation Templates

• React.js or other JavaScript frameworks

Note: These technologies are listed in order of priority.

• 5-7 years of experience in Development, Administration, Deployment, and Up-gradation of Liferay Portal with high volume and high-reliability requirements.
• Strong knowledge of n-tier web applications, including web servers, application servers, databases, and infrastructure.
• Experience in creating and managing Liferay Portal themes.
• Design and develop portals using Liferay out-of-the-box portlets, Liferay MVC portlets, Spring MVC portlets, or Struts portlets as required.
• Design applications based on UI mockups using CSS, JS, Ajax, jQuery, Bootstrap, Alloy UI.
• Experience in building Amazon Cloud Services.
• Experience with Liferay 7.3 and 7.4 versions.

Full-Stack Developer Skills and Qualifications:

Front-end technologies:

• Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, and libraries like Node.js, React.js, jQuery, LESS.

Development languages:

• Knowledge of server-side programming languages including Java and Spring Boot.

Database and cache:

• Familiarity with DynamoDB, MySQL, Redis, Memcached.

Basic design ability:

• Understanding of UI/UX and basic prototype design.

Server:

• Knowledge of Nginx or Apache servers, Linux background.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to visualize and build proposed systems.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Knowledge of Amazon Cloud Services is a plus.

Compensation:

Hourly W2 pay rate $65.00 to $75.00/hr.
