Indiana University Health in Muncie, IN seeks a Full Time EMT for a set three 12-hour shift schedule. The role involves responding in an emergency medical vehicle, providing immediate basic life support and transport to the hospital, including CPR, AED use, and splinting as needed.
Requirements include Indiana EMT certification or national certification with ability to obtain Indiana EMT within 30 days, and Basic Life Support certification. A valid driver's license and MVR check may be required.
Full Time/Three 12 hour shifts (set schedule), Muncie, IN
Responds in an emergency medical vehicle to the scene of reported emergencies, nonemergencies and interhospital transports. Provides efficient and immediate basic life support care to the patient at the scene and enroute to and in the hospital. Performs non-invasive procedures and basic life support functions such as, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillation (AED), and bone splinting. Performs specialized life sustaining procedures in a hospital-based advanced care ambulance service. Responsible for providing immediate emergency care and transport of the critically ill or injured.
A valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record report may be required for this role. Consideration of employment for this role may be contingent upon the results of the Motor Vehicle Record report.
