Position Details

Captain: $18/hour

Lifeguards: $16/hour

Minimum age: 15 (16 and under will require working papers)

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Ability to work outside for long hours, in varying weather conditions.
• Responsible and willing to take initiative when necessary.
• Good communication skills with guests, coworkers, and management staff.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Prospective Hours

• Indoor (Year Round): Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Outdoor Pools (Memorial Day – Labor Day): Sunday to Saturday, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Certification and Clearance Requirements

• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certifications

• FBI Fingerprinting Background Check

All certifications and clearances will be reimbursed by the city after starting employment; transaction receipts required.
