Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking lifeguards to ensure pool safety and supervision, with a flexible schedule and opportunities to grow within a non-profit community organization.

Qualified candidates must be at least 16 years old, possess or can obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, and demonstrate a passion for water safety and strong swimming ability.

Qualifications

• Age 16+ eligibility.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course.
• Passionate about safety around water and strong swim skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants.
• Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas.
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing.

What is needed for this job as our Lifeguard:

• Age 16+
