Job summary

The Tuckahoe Family YMCA in Richmond, VA is seeking part-time lifeguards or swimmers who want to become lifeguards. We will certify you if you qualify. Pay range is $15-$17 per hour.

Lifeguards will be responsible for the safety of members and program participants while on duty.

Applicants must be 15+, have CPR, AED, First Aid and either ARC or Ellis Lifeguard certification; O2 training is preferred but not required. The Y provides training for those who meet basic swim requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of members and program participants.
• Monitor pool area and enforce pool rules.
• Respond to emergencies and administer basic aid if needed.

Lifeguards must be at least 15 years old and have current CPR, AED, First Aid and either American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard certification. Oxygen Administration (O2) is preferred but not required. The Y will train interested candidates who meet basic swim requirements if not already certified!
