Job summary

North Hill Needham Inc. in Needham, MA is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to supervise the pool, ensure resident and guest safety, and foster a welcoming, active atmosphere. Training is offered for those not certified.

3 days per week, 7:30 AM–3:00 PM, with a pay range of $19–$20/hour. Certifications include Shallow Water Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain them. Responsibilities include surveillance, assisting with classes, pool maintenance, opening/closing, emergencies, and

Qualifications

• Shallow Water Lifeguard Certifications
• Maintains First Aid, CPR and other needed certifications and trainings
• 2 years’ experience in senior living or hospitality setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Keep a watchful eye on swimmers and the pool deck, helping residents and guests enjoy the water safely.
• Build relationships with residents and help create an inviting pool atmosphere.
• Support water classes, pool activities, and other resident programs.
• Assist residents with pool equipment and operate the safety lift as needed.
• Handle pool opening and closing procedures, test water chemicals, and complete required records.
• Keep the pool and deck clean, organized, and ready for the day.
• Respond to emergencies and provide rescues, first aid, and CPR when needed.
• Work with the Fitness Manager and other team members to communicate concerns and support residents.
