Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

The Lifeguard/Swim Instructor is responsible for providing a safe and clean environment for club members to swim and play. This role includes safety, customer service, and teaching group, semi-private, and private lessons to children and adults.

Major Responsibilities:

• Enforce posted pool rules and spa, steam room, and sauna regulations.
• Perform daily safety checks of the facility to ensure member safety.
• Conduct daily cleaning duties to meet cleanliness standards for the club.
• Teach group, private, and semi-private lessons to children and potentially adults.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Director.

Certification and Experience:

• Possess American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED Trained, and First Aid certifications (to be obtained within 60 days of hire).
• Ability to swim all four competitive strokes.
• Enjoy working with children.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Training on swimming lesson instruction will be provided, and work schedules can be adjusted around class schedules.
