Responsibilities:

• Provide swim instruction based on Goldfish Swim School curriculum
• Enforce safety rules and regulations; perform rescues and administer first aid when necessary
• Evaluate students’ progress and complete required documentation promptly
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding students’ progress and development
• Represent GSS positively to ensure parental satisfaction
• Use problem-solving and creative thinking to address challenges students face
• Inspect pool areas for maintenance, cleanliness, or damages; report issues to management
• Maintain proper storage of pool equipment and manage lane lines
• Report accidents and incidents; complete necessary paperwork
• Perform Deck Teacher and lifeguard duties as needed
• Assist with light cleaning duties periodically
• Attend mandatory workshops and training outside regular hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience: Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider required. Swimming experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Certificates and Licenses: Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications required within 90 days of employment; training available on-site.

Work Environment: Typically exposed to heat and humidity; noise levels are moderate.
