• Certifications and licenses: Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification required within 90 days of hire (training available through our facility).

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
2. Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents. Make rescues and administer first aid when necessary.
3. Evaluate students’ progress, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
4. Interact with parents/guardians regarding students’ swim activities and development.
5. Act as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure parental satisfaction.
6. Use problem solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges students encounter.
7. Inspect pool areas before and after each class for maintenance, cleanliness, or damage issues; report to management as appropriate.
8. Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment; manage lane lines placement and removal.
9. Report accidents and incidents to management; complete necessary documentation.
10. Perform Deck Teacher and lifeguard duties as needed.
11. Perform light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, and trash removal as required.
12. Attend mandatory workshops and training outside of regular hours.
13. Fulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience: Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider required. Swimming experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Certificates and Licenses: Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment; training available on site.

Work Environment: Regular exposure to heat and humidity; moderate noise level.
