Responsible for providing exceptionally enjoyable and safe pool experience for resort guests commensurate with the demands and expectations of a four-star hotel. Directs the provision of pool services, including towel issuance and inventory control. Maintains the cleanliness and physical appearance of pool area.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining guest safety in all pool areas, ensuring professional and consistent adherence to all pool safety standards

  • Supervises day-to-day operations

  • Assists in evaluation of changes in guest needs, the hotels guest mix, and industry and competitive trends to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes to be made to ensure guest and employee satisfaction, and to maintain market dominance and exceptional financial returns.

  • Assists in maintaining proper positioning, visibility and condition of all pool safety and rescue equipment

  • Coordinates welcoming of all guest upon arrival at pool area and the immediate provision of towels

  • Supervises the ongoing issuance and inventory or pool towels

  • Supervises the provision of chilled towels and water spray bottles

  • Supervises the provision of complimentary drinking water for pool guests

  • Supervises the provision of misting service

  • Supervises all guest pool activities

  • Supervises set-up and tear down required for all poolside functions

  • Supervises the provision of recreational items and equipment

  • Supervises the cleaning, maintenance and placement of pool furniture

  • Supervises the monitoring of guests leaving the pool area and the picking up of all dirty towels and garbage and the repositioning of chairs

  • Turns in lost and found items throughout shift according to hotel procedures

  • Monitors and maintains appropriate inventory of pool towels throughout shift, obtaining clean towels from the laundry and returning dirty towels.

  • Attends all departmental meetings as scheduled

  • Monitors timely logging and submittal to Security of all lost and found items

  • Supervises all cabana operations

  • Assist in preparing weekly schedules

  • Conducts daily walk through of both Fitness Center and Kids Camp

  • Coordinates and executes daily activities

  • Training, spot check , coach all new Team Members to optimum performance

  • Other duties as assigned

Supportive Functions and Responsibilities

  • Reports to work as scheduled in proper uniform and in accordance with the companys personal appearance standards

  • Notifies appropriate individuals fully and completely of all problems and unusual matters of significance

  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, employees

  • Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions

  • Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times

  • Executes emergency standards in accordance with hotel standards

  • Complies with safety regulations policies and procedures

  • Complies with hotel department standards, policies and rules

  • Remains current with hotel information and changes

  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area

Qualifications:

  • Excellent guest service skills

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. and pull/push 100 lbs

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Education:

  • High school degree

Experience:

  • Minimum one year Supervisory experience preferred

Licenses or Certificates:
