Vesta Property Services in Florida is hiring a Lifeguard Supervisor for a part-time, outdoor pool setting. The role focuses on safety, supervising staff, and assisting with aquatic programs and pool operations.

You will open/close the pool, enforce procedures, train staff, and provide swim lessons or coaching when available. Candidates should have First Aid/CPR, 3-5 years lifeguard experience, and be willing to work summer holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years teaching swim lessons or coaching swim team desired.
• Flexible schedule including summer holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Plan daily work assignments and schedule lifeguards.
• Open and close the pool according to the schedule.
• Inspect staff performance and provide training as needed.
• Direct swimmers in hazardous conditions and monitor weather.
• Organize pool parties and assist with aquatic programs.
• Provide swimming lessons or coaching when available.

JOB SUMMARY: Your Flight Plan!

The lifeguard supervisor position ensures the safety of pool patrons and assists with aquatic programs and pool operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Ready to Fly!

• Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed.
• Establishes the schedule and plans daily work assignments.
• Opens the pool each day and close it down each evening, depending on schedule and hours.
• Inspects and approves staff work performance.
• Demonstrates leadership and training to staff.
• Communicates effectively with staff.
• Monitor pool-related activities closely throughout shift and identify any safety issues.
• Direct swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditions.
• Monitor weather reports closely to ensure safety of guests.
• Organize and oversee pool parties.
• Provide swimming lessons and swim team coaching when available.
• Maintain a clean environment in and around the pool.
• Aid patrons when appropriate or necessary.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: The Wingspan Needed!

• First Aid and CPR certifications
• Ability to pass pre-employment practical skills test in the water
• 3-5 years of experience teaching swim lessons or coaching swim team highly desirable.
• 3-5 years lifeguard experience.
• Flexible schedule required.
• Must work summer holidays and weekends
• Occasional travel may be required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Our Nest is your Nest!

The lifeguard supervisor performs their work at the pool. This position is performed in outdoor weather conditions.

Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves continually during working hours; is subject to lifting over 50 pounds.
