Job summary

Vesta Property Services has an opening for a Lifeguard Supervisor in Julington Creek, Saint Johns, FL. This part-time role focuses on pool safety, supervision, and supporting aquatic programs and pool operations.

The position requires First Aid and CPR, 3–5 years lifeguard experience, and ability to teach or coach swim lessons. Flexible schedule and weekend availability are needed.

Qualifications

• First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment practical skills test in the water.
• 3-5 years of experience teaching swim lessons or coaching swim team highly desirable.
• 3-5 years lifeguard experience.
• Flexible schedule required.
• Must work summer holidays and weekends.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed.
• Establishes the schedule and plans daily work assignments.
• Opens the pool each day and closes it down each evening, depending on schedule and hours.
• Inspects and approves staff work performance.
• Demonstrates leadership and training to staff.
• Communicates effectively with staff.
• Monitor pool-related activities closely throughout shift and identify any safety issues.
• Direct swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditions.
• Monitor weather reports closely to ensure safety of guests.
• Organize and oversee pool parties.
• Provide swimming lessons and swim team coaching when available.
• Maintain a clean environment in and around the pool.
• Aid patrons when appropriate or necessary.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: The Wingspan Needed!

• First Aid and CPR certifications

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Our Nest is your Nest!

• The lifeguard supervisor performs their work at the pool. This position is performed in outdoor weather conditions.
• Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves continually during working hours; is subject to lifting over 50 pounds.
